The announcement came down from developers that the beta testers will need to wait another several days for the Overworld patch to go into effect. To understand the importance of Overworld, one has to understand that, at the moment anyhow, players travel from cities/crossroads through shared areas to get to instanced dungeons. It's a fairly 'clunky' method of travel and one that Flagship is hoping to solve with a more Oblivion-like approach to a vast world with instanced dungeons sprinkled throughout.
Sorry everybody - as the title of this thread states the overworld is going on hold for a bit. My guess is till the middle of next week. We have just been running into multiple issues with the new overworld that we thought we had hammered out.
Trying to get it pushed out today could leave people with a pretty bad impression of the world and well that's the last thing we want to do.
Again, I'm really sorry. I know everybody has been waiting patiently and well ... this just sucks.
